Émilie Rigaud

Émilie Rigaud is the founder of the type foundry “A is for...” (www.aisforapple.fr). After a master’s degree in graphic design at ENSAD (Paris), she joined in 2008 the MA Typeface Design of the University of Reading where she developed the Coline typeface family, which was awarded the Type Design Prize 2011 of the Tôkyô Type Director’s Club. She currently works both as a freelance book designer and as a typeface designer. Since 2013, she is a teacher at the ANRT (Atelier National de Recherche Typographique) and ENSAD and she does research about the history of Japanese typography.
