Autumn is serious business around here. During decorative gourd season, signs sit at every intersection directing weekenders and leaf peepers to the best apples, pumpkins and cider donuts in town. Most signs are pretty unremarkable. Except for these.
Hand painted with a distinct lettering style and wacky colors, they’re noticeable and lovely and always brighten my day.
Those tall Ps and Ms, skinny Hs and Us, wide Ks and Es are all perfect.

Amongst the cacophony of anthropomorphic tree fruits and squash, a handcrafted sign with a bright color palette is a welcomed change.
I think this one is my favorite. And I love how the pumpkin illustrations fit snugly against the bottom braces. Spaces between words? Who needs ’em anyway?
Such a nice contrast to the other garbage yard signs at every traffic light.
